EDC Las Vegas made the move we’ve all been waiting for

The EDC Las Vegas we know and love is changing, and it’s for the better. Huh?

Those changes will come in 2018, featuring new dates earlier in the year, camping options, and more. The moves showcase what makes Pasquale Rotella and Insomniac Events one of the best event companies in the world. Major changes like this, especially to an annual festival as massive as EDC Las Vegas, are no easy task. Having the ability, and the guts, to at least try something like this is worth praise.

Over the past 10 years, average high temps on this weekend in May have been 90, and the lows have been 64. This means we can extend our hours and create an opening ceremony on the cosmicMEADOW lawn, featuring extended sets from different artists each day. One stage, one vibe—all before the rest of the experience turns on. Not only will it give people a chance to vibe out before sunset, but the early arrivals will help the flow in and out of the Speedway. – Pasquale Rotella

It’ll be interesting to see how the changes impact the EDC experience. From fans, artists, industry pros, and more, everyone involved will have an opinion on the new EDC Las Vegas. They’ve made big moves before, and faced their share of challenges, but have remained successful year-after-year. More information and details will follow in the coming months, but you can consider us fans of the changes as of now. Cooler temps, more travel and housing options, and attempts at reducing traffic all lead to a better EDC Las Vegas for everyone.

LiveStyle is now employing one of the most talented promoters in the music industry: Gary Richards aka Destructo. He may miss some coworkers from Live Nation, but it doesn’t seem as though SKisM misses working with Dodge & Fuski and Myro. Although, his marketing plan is “missing”, according to the Never Say Die boss. What isn’t missing is Pasquale Rotella’s guts, as he makes major changes to EDC Las Vegas for the coming year.
