Along with the diverse list of acts featured at Free Press Summer Fest, it’s also a perfect time for artists to showcase their work of art before the thousands of attendees using both Eleanor Tinsley Park as well as Allen Parkway. Since 2009, Free Press Summer Fest has featured the best hip-hop/rap, rock/alternative, and the biggest names in EDM. Past performers have included everyone from Bassnectar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Postal Service, Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Pretty Lights, Major Lazer, Afrojack, The Avett Brothers, Weezer, Girl Talk, Mix Master Mike (of the Beastie Boys), and hundreds of other acts that continually sell out venues all around the country have made their stop here in recent years. This year, the lineup is nothing short of amazing and features acts like Jack White, Vampire Weekend, ZEDD, Above & Beyond, Deftones, Childish Gambino, Wu-Tang Clan, Cage The Elephant, DMX, Big Gigantic, CHVRCHES, Laidback Luke, Rebelution, Adventure Club, Flosstradamus, Robert Delong and many more.
Regular tickets for Free Press Summer Fest start out at $160 for a 2-day pass. Regular VIP (or what the festival calls Fancy Pants) has many added bonuses like rapid entry, air-conditioned tent, private bar and more and is going for about $235. Deluxe VIP (or Silk Pajamas) tops off at $500 for the two days and features a swag bag, premium viewing areas at all 3 stages, complimentary beer and water, lunch and dinner both nights, access to the exclusive artist village, and more.
